Where To Stay When Visiting New York for US Open 2016

Location

The best location for lodging is in Midtown East (or West but that is tad further). This would be roughly between 34th-68th Streets and 2nd-8th Avenues. You want to be as close to an E or F subway station. The fastest way to the Open is to take the E or F to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave and switch to the 7. NYC Subway Map Link

Hotels:

Last year, the Westin, the official US Open sponsor hotel, offered a package deal for guests attending the US Open. It included a complimentary upgrade and some US Open souvenirs and gift cards. They have not announced anything yet for this year but it may be worth checking.  The price was around $400. Some more affordable lodging can be found at other hotels (recommendations listed below).
